“No ordinary steamer” from Morphy Richards

Morphy Richards’ new Intellisteam food steamer has three separate compartments and an intelligent multi-programmable timer to synchronise the steaming process of separate ingredients, delivering a complete healthy meal in one pot with all ingredients ready at the same time.

Intellisteam, which is described by the brand as “no ordinary steamer”, eliminates the need for multiple cooking processes. The horizontal design and features mean no contamination of flavours when cooking, and all compartments are accessible – unlike a traditional tiered steamer. A strong glass lid ensures heat is retained.

The appliance is pre-programmed with eight settings for different food groups, and can be re-programmed by the user, depending on preferences and cooking habits. A handy keep-warm function means the ingredients are maintained at their best, regardless of interruptions. A bright and easy-use digital display represents the three individual steaming compartments and enables the user to easily set and see the remaining cooking time in each individual compartment.

The Intellisteam is both safe and user-friendly, with features such as an external water top-up which allows the user to add additional water without disturbing the cooking process. There is also a boil-dry alarm to alert the cook to low water levels and a safety cut-out.

The versatile accessories and individually controlled cooking chambers allow the user to cook proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables in different combinations, as well as sauces and desserts.

Designed with modern living in mind, the Intellisteam includes dishwasher-safe parts and all accessories are made from BPA-free plastic. It is also compact and easy to store, with all accessories fitting inside the bowl and a plug and cord store underneath.

For ease of use, Morphy Richards has developed an instruction book which includes recipe suggestions.

Annaliese Curtis, Marketing Manager at Morphy Richards, said: “Historically, many consumers had found themselves turned off by the idea of using tiered stacking baskets and having to time separate components. We believe the Intellisteam removes all these obstacles, allowing the consumer to easily steam an entire meal in a single pot without flavour contamination.  This appliance does all the hard work for you. We think it’s a gamechanger for consumers.”
