Philips’ 55POS9002 named EISA Best Buy OLED TV 2017-2018

The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has named Philips’ 55POS9002 television ‘Best Buy OLED TV 2017 – 2018’, commending the unit for offering state-of-the-art technology and performance at an affordable price and recognising it as a set that ‘stands out in the expanding OLED market.’

The TV is Philips second OLED model, and the first set to incorporate the brand’s new P5 picture processing engine, which offers a significant increase in processing power, speed and efficiency over the Philips Perfect Pixel Ultra HD engine.

The EISA team particularly referenced the 9002’s ‘excellent picture quality’, highlighting the unit’s rich colours, fine details, deep blacks and motion sharpness and noting that each was a product of the 9002’s combination of the inherent advantages of OLED technology when powered by the P5 picture processing engine.

The EISA panel also commended the heightened ‘sense of immersion with any source’ from Philips’ Ambilight technology.

Commenting on the Award, TP Vision Managing Director for Europe Kostas Vouzas said: “We are delighted that EISA has chosen to honour the 9002 with this award, and that our efforts to offer something distinctive yet affordable in the OLED market has received such prestigious recognition. A Philips OLED TV that in all aspects simply looks better.”
