Sharp presents two new series of frameless UHD TVs
Sharp Consumer Electronics is launching a new Frameless TV line-up comprising two UHD TV series, the DL and the DN, each featuring a slim design, Android TV, harman/kardon® sound technology and HDR picture quality.
The lineup includes smart and non-smart models with a range of screen sizes in HD-Ready and UHD categories “at attractive prices,” featuring Sharp’s proven in-house AQUOS displays and variously equipped with Sharp’s Active Motion 600 technology, Dolby Vision technology and 12-bit HDR colour coding
Both the DN and DL series have access to the Google Play Store, and music streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer or Tidal can also be used on the TV. In addition, the models have integrated Google Chromecast technology, which allows content from mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets or laptops to be transferred conveniently and wirelessly to the TV.
The new Android TV user interface helps users organise their favourite entertainment: Home, Discover and Apps.
The integrated Google Assistant offers quick and helpful support in everyday life and makes operation simple and uncomplicated thanks to voice control. Not only can the TV be controlled, but news can also be called up or diaries can be checked.. Once integrated into the Smart Home, the TV becomes the central control unit that can be operated from the comfort of the sofa. The assistant is activated with a special button and a built-in microphone in the remote control.
The Triple HD tuner receives TV programmes via cable (DVB-C), antenna (DVB-T/T2) or satellite (DVB-S/S2). The 50-inch model has four HDMI inputs, a micro SD card reader and two USB ports for playing additional multimedia content. The 65-inch model is equipped with three HDMI and two USB inputs.
