Sharp returns to IFA Berlin with “breakthrough innovations“

Sharp Home Appliances has announced plans to return to IFA with an extensive display of almost 200 products in a show area inspired by the core themes of health & wellbeing and the environment.

In cooling, Sharp will show combi fridge freezer ranges that keep foods fresher for longer with features such as AdvancedFresh, and to help combat the growing problem of food waste, a new American-style fridge freezer with vacuum pack technology that significantly extends the shelf-life of produce will be unveiled.

The built-in cooking range will feature a number of important product developments, including an oven that can keep kitchen environments cool at the same time as providing multi-dish cooking support for time-poor consumers.

Design will be particularly important for the brand at this year’s show, with products said to challenge the conventional look of home appliances and incorporating intuitive touch control in washing machines and dishwashers.

A next-generation smart laundry solution will be on display, along with Sharp‘s first range of tumble dryers and its most extensive line-up of quiet appliances to date. The brand will also be the official partner of QuietMark for this year’s IFA ShowStoppers event.

“After a year of rapid growth across Europe, it’s now time for us to build on our success at IFA,“ said European Sales and Marketing Director Alberico Lissoni.

“With this exhibit we plan to demonstrate how we will, moving forward, offer even greater differentiation and competitive edge for our partners.

“As well as launching entirely new product categories, we’ll be using our unique multi-industry experience to introduce breakthrough innovations for the home appliance sector. Rather than prop up existing housework routines, we will be simplifying and even breaking them with game-changing solutions, technologies and features.”
