Smeg launches range of VIVOscreen connected ovens

Italian appliance brand Smeg has introduced a new collection of VIVOscreen connected ovens with large full-colour displays and new graphics, new functions and greater ease of use.

The extra-wide VIVOMax screen allows more information and functions, which will be easier to read and simpler to use, to be shown simultaneously, with more intuitive navigation via full-touch vertical and horizontal scrolling. Holding down any item on the display for 3 seconds will produce a pop-up explaining the item’s function.

New icons, bright colours and high-definition graphic effects make viewing the extensive range of automatic programmes for smart cooking more visually appealing. A My Recipes section allows users to store up to 64 of their own favourite dishes in the appliance’s memory.

A temperature probe which monitors the core temperature of food is incorporated to ensure the desired cooking results are achieved.

The new display is available in two versions: VIVO – 4” x 3” (9.5 x 5.5 cm) and VIVOMax premium display – 6 ”x 3” (15 x 5.2 cm). Both displays can be found on Smeg’s Linea and Dolce Stil Novo design ranges.

The VIVOscreen ovens will join Smeg’s smart range, known as SmegConnect, which works in conjunction with the new dedicated SmegConnect app for remote control via a chosen handheld device.
