Sound & Vision Bristol “best show for 11 years”

Organisers of the Sound & Vision Bristol Show, which took place from 21st to 23rd February, have said that the event exceeded all of their expectations.

The event featured 178 exhibiting brands and recorded the second highest sales figures in its 27-year history.

A spokesperson for exhibitor Townshend Audio said: “I haven’t been to a Hi-Fi Show in the UK that was this busy for 20 years.”

Visitors and exhibitors included those from Australia, Taiwan, Ireland, India, Austria, USA, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands, Canada, Norway, Latvia and Poland.

“Fine show this year, really enjoyed myself,” commented Armour’s Tony Jones. “More people than last year and sales have gone up. Overall, we’re very happy and certainly will be back for 2015.”

Trade Association Clarity judged the show awards for the second year.

The Clarity Best of Show Awards went to:

  • “Best Home Cinema Room”: Arcam of Cambridge
  • “Best Presented Room”: AudioQuest
  • “Best Sounding Hi-Fi Room”: Naim Audio
  • “Best Stand in Open Areas”: The Chord Company
  • “Most Innovative Room”: Monitor Audio

Next year’s Sound & Vision Bristol will be held Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd February 2015.
