Swan partners Eureka in UK floorcare launch

Swan is re-entering the UK floorcare market in partnership with North American vacuum cleaner brand Eureka, which was acquired by China’s Midea Group from Electrolux at the end of 2016.

A new floorcare collection destined for the UK will be previewed at IFA 2018 (Stand 109), the highlight of which will be the Eureka | Swan SC15822N PowerPlush+ 3-in-1 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner.

The appliance is powered by a 21.6 V removable lithium-ion battery and is equipped with swivel steering and a self-propelled motorized nozzle. It weighs 2.5kg and has an extension wand for above-floor cleaning, and is said to pick up hair and fur without clogging or tangling. The Plush Brush Roll is “uniquely engineered” to capture the finest particles of dust and dirt.

David Foulstone, general manager at Swan, commented: “Swan has been looking to re-enter the floorcare market for some time, and following a meeting with the Eureka team at the Chicago Housewares show earlier this year and seeing the product collection we believe we have found the perfect partner to do so.”

The Eureka | Swan SC15822N PowerPlush+ 3-in-1 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner will be available from October in the UK.
