Swan says 2017 a “record year”
Swan Products Ltd., set up in 2009 with a licence from Shop Direct Group to develop the Swan brand, says 2017, “its biggest year to date,” was a record year “in terms of sales, business growth and development.”
Since 2009, Swan Products Ltd. has relaunched the Teasmade exclusively for John Lewis, created the Come Dine With Me range of appliances to support the TV programme, and launched its Retro Collection spearheaded by refrigeration and augmented with the later additions of small appliances (becoming “the first manufacturer to offer a fully colour matched range of large and small domestic appliances”) and Retro Cookware.
2017 was a key development year, firstly through the collaboration with presenter, author and designer Fearne Cotton creating the “Fearne By Swan” range, and later the same year the acquisition of the Swan brand from Shop Direct Group. The acquisition, says Swan Products Ltd., was “an extremely exciting prospect [which] ensured that the future of the company and its plans was back in the hands of original employees.”
Rob Wileman, commercial director at Swan Products Ltd., said: “2017 has been such a fantastic year. Since 2009 we have been committed to reintroducing the Swan brand in the UK and it is a real joy to be able celebrate and see our vision realised. In the current, unpredictable climate, we are extremely proud to have achieved this, and to now be in complete control of future plans and development is extremely exciting. We won’t be taking this for granted though, with exciting launches for both the Fearne By Swan and Retro ranges planned for this year. We are also looking to develop the brand internationally in Canada, USA, Bahrain, South Korea and South Africa, as well as potentially producing some of our products in the UK.”
