Whirlpool launches connected 4-door fridge freezer

Whirlpool’s W Collection WQ9I FO1BX UK fridge freezer is a 4-door model benefiting from the brand’s 6TH SENSE Live® connectivity, providing control via smartphone or tablet using the 6TH SENSE Live® app.

The appliance offers 554 litres of capacity coupled with customisable smart space management, and 33% more space for fresh fruit and vegetables due to a dedicated Convertible Space compartment which can be switched from fridge to freezer conditions, set at a range of temperatures – 0°C, 4°C, 10°C, -7°C, -12°C or -16°C to -22°C – to store a variety of items.

The app allows users to adjust and monitor settings, activate special functions such as the fast cooling mode and access advice for easy maintenance. It will also provide food storage tips and beverage recipes, populate a shopping list and help users effectively manage the unit’s contents, with notifications for ‘use by’ dates or when drinks are chilled to temperature.

This new cooling model offers advanced food preservation with a Triple No Frost system and Whirlpool’s patented 6TH SENSE® technology. 6TH SENSE® Precision Control monitors temperature fluctuations and humidity levels in the fridge compartment to maintain the ideal conditions to keep food fresh for longer while offering resource savings of up to 30%. In the freezer compartment the technology reduces freezer burn to preserve the overall quality of the food for longer.

The appliance is finished in black stainless steel with integrated stainless steel-edged handles and features a 4.5-inch colour LCD touch-sensitive display screen for effortless control and easy-to-read feedback. It also benefits from an in-door ice/chilled water dispenser.
