Whirlpool wins Appliance Innovation Award

Whirlpool has announced that its Supreme Care laundry duo won the Appliance Innovation of the Year Award at the inaugural Essential Kitchen & Bathroom Business Awards.

The event, which was held this month in London, celebrated the achievements of manufacturers, designers, retailers and marketing and communications teams in the kitchen and bathroom industry.

Comedian Josh Widdicombe entertained an audience of nearly 500 and announced the winners.

Whirlpool’s Supreme Care FSCR 12441 washing machine and matching HSCX 10441 tumble dryer use the brand’s 6TH SENSE Live® technology and can be controlled by an app on a smartphone or tablet.

Jennifer Taylor, Whirlpool Senior Brand Manager, said: “Whirlpool invests heavily in new technology that’s intuitive, makes life easier and saves our finite resources. The live laundry pair was the first of our connected range to market and we feel ecstatic to be honoured and recognised in such a competitive awards category.

“Connected appliances such as the Whirlpool 6TH SENSE Live® laundry pair offer innovation that brings genuine lifestyle benefits and, crucially, takes resource saving to the next level.”
