Wilson Audio brings new flagship speaker to market
Wilson Audio has presented its new speaker, the Chronosonic XVX, which, says the company, “represents a new paradigm at the apex of loudspeaker design.”
The XVX draws on key elements of the WAMM Master Chronosonic, the late Dave Wilson- designed speaker which is still claimed by many to be the finest loudspeaker in the world, and builds on Wilson Audio’s former flagship model, the Alexandria XLF.
The Chronosonic XVX now takes its place as the company’s new top-of-the-line transducer, second only to the WAMM Master Chronosonic.
Given that the WAMM Master Chronosonic is built to order at £700,000 a pair, this new Chronosonic XVX, at “only” £330,000 a pair, puts Wilson Audio quality at a slightly more accessible price point. Designed by Dave Wilson’s son Daryl, and exhibiting a strong link to its family antecedents in design, quality and sound presence, it is available in a range of finishes and, for custom orders, can be finished in a precise colour-match to customer specifications.
The Wilson Audio Chronosonic XVX is now shipping to order. The UK retail price is £330,000 (inc. VAT) per pair, and customer enquiries in the UK should be directed to Absolute Sounds, Wilson Audio products’ sole distributor in the UK.
